Start your own supplement brand

What actually happens between a product idea and your first sellable batch β€” no marketing promises, real numbers and timelines.

100Units to start
3–4Weeks production
1–2Weeks formulation
EURegulatory basis
Production at MB Labs

The honest starting point

Launching a supplement brand is technically easier than ever β€” and commercially harder. Production is accessible at small volumes, but the market is crowded. What decides success is rarely the formula alone; it is the combination of audience, positioning and repeatability.

The most common mistake at launch: too much money in the first batch, too little in distribution. Producing 5,000 jars before selling the first 100 ties up capital in a warehouse instead of growth. That is why our minimum order is deliberately low.

The second most common mistake: leaving labelling to the end. Health claims, maximum levels and mandatory information are strictly regulated in the EU. A printed label with a non-compliant statement is expensive waste.

What you need to start

Product ideaA clear target effect and a defined audience β€” not "some supplement"
FormulationYour own formula or a selection from existing, market-ready recipes
Starting quantityFrom 100 units β€” enough for a market test, content and first customers
LabelDesign plus compliant mandatory information for your target market
Sales channelOwn shop, Amazon, clinic, coaching β€” determines packaging and price
Business statusOur services are directed exclusively at business customers (B2B)

Five decisions that make the difference

  • Niche before breadth β€” a product for a clearly defined group sells better than an all-rounder for everyone. "Magnesium for shift workers" beats "magnesium".
  • Dose honestly β€” underdosed products do not work and generate no reorders. The second order decides your business, not the first.
  • Secure repeatability β€” check early whether your raw materials are reliably available. A formula you cannot repeat is not a brand.
  • Start small, learn fast β€” 100 units cost you little and tell you more about your market than any survey.
  • Regulation before design β€” first establish what you may claim, then design. Not the other way around.

Frequently asked questions

How much capital do I need to start?
It depends on formulation, packaging and quantity. At 100 units the entry point is far lower than with manufacturers requiring four-figure minimums. We give concrete numbers after the first call.
Do I need a registered business?
Yes. Our services are directed exclusively at entrepreneurs and legal entities (B2B). As the party placing the product on the market you also carry food law responsibility.
Can I start without my own formulation?
Yes. Many brands start with an existing, market-ready formula under their own name and develop an exclusive recipe later.
Who is liable for the labelling?
Legally the party placing the product on the market β€” that is you. We flag critical points and supply product documentation; the final check for your target market is yours.
What is a realistic timeline?
From first idea to delivered batch, 4 to 6 weeks is realistic if design and approvals move promptly.
