What your own supplement brand really costs

Most manufacturers answer this question with silence. We answer it — with cost blocks and real ranges, without a headline number that does not survive the quote.

What the price is made of

Raw materialsThe largest block. Driven by active, dosage and quality grade. Between a standard magnesium and a patented extract there is easily a factor of five.
ManufacturingSetup, filling, encapsulation or compression. Charged per batch — the share per unit drops sharply with volume.
Primary packagingJar, pouch, blister, bottle plus closure and desiccant. Fixed order quantities at the supplier, often the hidden cost driver on small batches.
Label & printDesign, printing plates, material choice. Higher one-off on the first run, material cost only afterwards.
RegulatoryClaim review, mandatory information, registration in the target market. Manageable in the EU, a project step of its own in the Gulf states.
Analysis & releaseBatch analysis, documentation, release. Per batch, regardless of volume.
LogisticsTransport, customs, import duties. Depends on the incoterm — under DAP we carry more than under EXW and the price reflects that.

Calculator: a range, not a number

The calculator deliberately returns a range. It does not replace a quote — it tells you whether your budget is in the right order of magnitude.

Estimated cost per unit
Estimated batch cost

Estimate based on current material and production costs. Not a binding quote.

Your binding number comes from the quote — real formulation, real raw material prices, real calculation.

What moves the price most

What we do not do here

We do not quote an entry price that only holds at one specific volume with one specific raw material. Numbers like that pull in enquiries and cost trust in the conversation. Hence ranges — and a binding figure as soon as we know what we are dealing with.

FAQ

Why do you not quote a fixed price?
Because without formulation, volume and packaging it would not be serious. Any figure we gave without those we would have to correct in the quote.
What is the most common misjudgement?
Too much money in the first batch, too little in selling it through. Producing 5,000 jars before the first 100 sell ties capital up in a warehouse instead of growth.
Are raw material prices stable?
No. Individual actives fluctuate significantly. That is why every quote has a validity period.
Is development included in the price?
With a catalogue formulation, yes. For a new development it runs through the Market Access Sprint and is credited against the first production run.
